The Up in Arms event at the Village on Wexford Street from the 2nd to 4th of December will feature an eclectic array of over 21 artists performing in support of Amnesty International’s control arms campaign.

Paddy Casey will swap his guitar for decks in his DJ set on Friday. While upbeat jazz and blues crooners Jerry Fish and the Mudbug club will lead Friday’s live line-up with support, from critically acclaimed newcomers, Alphastates.

Saturday night will include loud, brooding, rock band Mainline and a set from DJ Arveene.

Today FM presenter Donal Dineen will DJ on Sunday and on the same night delicate Dublin singer/songwriter Mark Geary  will perform.

The gigs will support Amnesty’s campaign for a global Arms Trade Treaty to bring the arms trade under control as well their calls for new legislation to regulate Ireland’s €5 billion trade in military and dual use goods.

Tickets cost €18 per night and are available from the WAV ticket office on Camden Row and Amnesty’s Café on Fleet Street. More information www.amnesty.ie
